If you want to continue your studies – from a bachelor's degree to master's

If you want to continue your studies and take a master's degree or other postgraduate qualification, you should make sure that you are entitled to benefits for the next two years. You can do so by informing us that you wish to exercise your rights as a new graduate.

This would be a good idea if, for instance, you later decide to drop out. And should you need paternity/maternity benefits before graduation, you’ll also have better rights.

How to do it ...

No later than 14 days after getting your last grade at your current study programme (e.g. for a bachelor's degree), you must fill in the form entitled Change status to continue studying and inform us that you intend to continue your studies.

Your student membership will continue unchanged.

If you do not inform us that you have completed your bachelor's degree

If you do not inform us within 14 days of graduation that you have completed your bachelor's degree, you will automatically become a paying member. Your benefits right for the next two years will not be ensured automatically. You will have to earn this right by working.

If you want to continue as a non-paying student member, you must apply for an exemption from payment of membership fee by filling in the Membership fee exemption application form – student.

If you are not yet a student member

You can enjoy the same rights as a new graduate with a bachelor's degree although you are not yet a student member. You only need to apply for membership as a new graduate within 14 days after your graduation.

Then you can apply for an exemption from payment of membership fees and continue as a non-paying student member.
