A senior job is a position on terms and conditions which are the same as under a collective bargaining agreement. Your local municipality can create a senior job for you.
You will be eligible for a senior job if you:
- are unemployed and a member of an unemployment insurance fund,
- pay into the early retirement scheme and
- no longer have a right to benefits and have a maximum of 5 years left until you are eligible to retire early
Your local municipality is the administrator of the senior job scheme. Your local municipality is also where you should send your application for a senior job.
CA will contact and advise you if you are eligible for a senior job in your local municipality. We will do so around 2 or 3 months before your benefits end. This way, you will have enough time to apply for a senior job and not risk a period without income.
