Below you can see the current rates. All rates are monthly pre-tax amounts.
Unemployment benefit based on work
The amount paid to you in benefits depends on your income from work before you became unemployed.
You will, however, not be entitled to more than 90% of your salary before you became unemployed.
If you are full-time insured, you can receive up to the maximum monthly benefit rate of DKK 22,041 before tax.
You will be entitled to the maximum benefit rate if you have had a monthly average income from work of at least DKK 26,620.
You can be entitled to an employment supplement of up to DKK 4,157 on top of your monthly benefits for the first three months you’re unemployed. To get the maximum supplement you must have had a monthly average income of DKK 31,640.
To receive the highest monthly rate for part-time insured of DKK 14,694 before tax, you must have had a monthly average income from work of at least DKK 17,746.
You can be entitled to an employment supplement of up to DKK 2,771 on top of your monthly benefits for the first three months you’re unemployed. To get the maximum supplement you must have had a monthly average income of DKK 21,093.
There are no lower limit for your benefit rate.

Unemployment benefit based on your degree
Your benefits as a new graduate depend on whether
- you are a parent with dependent children
- you have reached the age of 30.

Early retirement benefits
Whether you will be entitled to 100% or 91% of the maximum early retirement benefit rate depends on whether you meet the two-year rule.

G-days (first and second day of unemployment)
G-days is the term used to describe the first and second day of unemployment when you are entitled to compensation from your employer instead of benefits from CA.
A full G-day in 2024 amounts to DKK 1,017.
A partial G-day in 2024 amounts to DKK 509.
Conversion for deductions in your benefits
This is the rate we apply if, for example, you have had income from uncontrollable work which must be deducted from your benefits. uncontrollable work could be, for example, if you are paid per project or assignment instead of by the hour.
