When You Get a Job

It’s important to distinguish between getting full-time work, where you are no longer eligible for benefits, and part-time work, where you may be entitled to supplementary unemployment benefits.

We’ve outlined what to be aware of in both situations.

What Should I Do if I Get a Part-Time Job?

If you already have a part-time job or are offered part-time employment as a salaried worker, you may still be eligible for supplementary unemployment benefits.

We recommend contacting us before starting part-time work to confirm whether you meet the conditions for receiving supplementary benefits.

What Should I Do if I Get a Full-Time Job?

You must remain available for work and continue job searching right up until you start your new job or deregister on jobnet.dk.

However, you can be exempt from job search and meetings for up to 6 weeks before your employment starts. See how to apply for an exemption here.

You must deregister as unemployed on jobnet.dk from the date your job begins. You can register your first working day in advance, and once you do, you’ll automatically be deregistered from jobnet.dk as of that day.
